Inspiration: Coco Mademoiselle was Chanel’s adventure into a more light-hearted fragrance. Oranges sweeten up the powdery rose, white musk, and clean jasmine. A bit of dusty mimosa with bright ylang-ylang help make the fragrance more than a citrus soapy scent.  Dark patchouli with a dash of sweet vanilla and tonka serve to darken the composition up.

Coco Mademoiselle is already a proven classic, even though it has only been out a little bit over 20 years. Its sweet soapiness makes it both fashionable and serious. The darker base contrasts this and creates a wonderful contradiction of feminine potential. Playful flirtiness on the weekends and back to business on Mondays. That is what Jacques Polge created and it’s a wonderful scent that doesn’t feel out of place for any occasion.
